Mobile QA Engineer
About Change
Change has been around longer than most fintechs you've heard of. Our Dutch entity was incorporated in Amsterdam in 2010, and we have been MiFID II authorised since 2015 — a decade of operating as a regulated investment firm. Today we serve around 120,000 verified users across all 30 EEA countries, with full passporting rights, and we are MiCA-authorised as one of the early CASPs in the Netherlands.
We operate an app-based investment platform built for retail investors. Our users trade cryptocurrencies, alongside CFDs on stocks, indices, currencies, gold, oil and other financial instruments — all in one place, on mobile, with the regulatory protections of a Dutch investment firm.
We are a small senior team with a practical, low-bureaucracy culture. We value ownership, clear processes, strong judgement and real operational discipline over unnecessary ceremony.
When a user funds an account, places an order or moves crypto, it has to work — every time, on every device. We are hiring a Mobile QA Engineer to own quality for our Flutter app across iOS and Android, and to treat AI agents and tooling as a core part of how modern QA gets done.
What you will do
Own quality for the mobile app. Manual and automated testing across iOS and Android, from onboarding and KYC to funding, trading and custody flows.
Build and grow our mobile test automation. Design and maintain an automated suite (integration_test, Appium, Maestro or similar) that gives the team confidence to ship fast without breaking money-moving flows.
Test the flows that matter most. Order tickets, charts, portfolio, deposits and withdrawals — with a sharp eye for edge cases, error states and the things that only break under real market conditions.
Own release quality. Regression passes, device/OS coverage, staged rollouts, crash triage and being the last line of defence before an update reaches 120,000 users.
Make quality measurable. Clear test plans, bug reports engineers can act on, and metrics that show where quality is improving and where it is not.
Use AI agents to scale QA. Generate test cases, triage crash logs and expand coverage with agentic tooling — while keeping human judgement where it counts in a regulated product.
Who we're looking for
QA depth
3+ years in QA, with real experience testing mobile apps on both iOS and Android.
Hands-on test automation experience — Flutter integration_test, Appium, Maestro, or equivalent mobile automation frameworks.
Strong test design instincts: you think in edge cases, boundary conditions, error states and "what happens if things go wrong".
Comfortable reading API responses, inspecting logs, and writing clear, reproducible bug reports that engineers respect.
Understanding of CI/CD and how automated tests fit into a fast, frequent release cadence.
AI-native, agentic-first
You use AI tools and coding agents (ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Gemini, Cursor or similar) regularly as part of your QA workflow.
You have built or customised at least one practical AI-assisted testing or automation workflow.
You have clear judgement on where humans must stay in the loop in a regulated, money-moving product. You are not impressed by demos.
You understand that strong AI outputs depend on good context, structure and human judgement.
Mindset
You communicate in writing well enough that meetings shrink — crisp test plans, clear bug reports, honest release notes.
You enjoy the boring craft of quality: the regression pass, the flaky-test hunt, the edge case nobody else thought of. You do not consider this work beneath you.
You are visibly comfortable saying "I don't know" and "I was wrong". You change your mind when the evidence changes.
You want to grow your scope and impact here over time. We will invest in that growth as the team scales.
Nice to have
Experience in fintech, trading, payments or another trust-critical consumer product.
Familiarity with MiFID II, MiCA, PSD2 or similarly regulated environments.
Experience testing trading surfaces — order tickets, charts, watchlists, order books and portfolio screens.
Performance, security or accessibility testing experience.
Greek or Dutch language is welcome but not required — we work in English.
